The mystical peak of Brocken is often shrouded by clouds of fog, its striking dome-like features inspiring spooky legends and enchanting folklore for generations. Soaring at the height of 1141 metres, it is the highest peak in the Harz mountain range and Northern Germany, and as part of the Harz National Park, Brocken boasts a historic botanical garden of about 1,600 alpine mountain plants. Visitors can view its majestic features with a scenic ride on the Brocken Railway, as it ascends to its dizzying summit.
