The Nadab Lookout is located at Ubirr within the Kakadu National Park and is known for its awe-inspiring 360-degree views. Watching the sun set over the floodplains and Arnhem Land beyond is a favorite pastime for visitors and is often included in adventure tours offered by tour operators who visit the area. The 250 m climb to the lookout is moderately steep but easy to navigate and suitable for those with an average level of fitness.
There is a parking area with toilets and picnic tables near the lookout and visitors can stop along the way to see the beautiful Aboriginal rock art which includes the famous depiction of the Rainbow Serpent. Visitors who are accompanied by a guide will learn about the Dreamtime stories that inspired these ancient works of art.
