Located in the Chiang Rai province, Santikhiri, formerly known as Mae Salong, is a village that was built on the Doi Mae Salong mountain. The origin of the village started when the Chinese Civil War ended and the remaining Chinese soldiers sought out an area to live their lives peacefully.
