Located in Chiang Rai, Thailand, the Chiang Saen National Museum is a popular tourist destination in the Golden Triangle area. Established in 1957, the museum offers travelers an opportunity to view what life was like years ago in the town of Chaing Saen. Displays include excavated artifacts, inscriptions on ancient sculptures, Lanna Thai artifacts that include pots, weapons, baskets, fish traps and nets as well as cooking apparatus, and Chiang Saen inspired Buddha images. The museum is open from Wednesday to Sunday at 9:00 am till 4:00 pm.
