About half an hour walking from the main dock in Pto. Baquerizo Moreno, you reach the Interpretation Center, from where you can follow a small path leading upwards. This will bring you to one of the best views in The Galápagos. There is a network of paths around the viewpoint including one that leads down to Las Tijeretas, an amazing cove where you can snorkel in crystal clear turquoise waters. It´s an amazing spot and makes for a fun morning or afternoon activity.

Walk a bit further along the paths and you will reach Punta Carola - an idyllic beach, exactly what you would expect of The Galápagos. Pristine white sands meet a calm Pacific waters. Sea lions play in the water while marine iguanas catch rays further back from the beach.

Make sure to bring drinking water, a snack and sun protection. This visit takes between 3 to 4 hours in total and can be combined with a visit to the Interpretation center.
