Is home to Great Heart Wines, which is a staff empowerment project of Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines. Established in 2020, this winery is 100% owned and run by the employees of both the Mullineux and Leeu Passant wineries who directly profit from the wine sales and see the shareholders involved in all the stages of the viticulture and winemaking.

The Leeu Collection’s founder, Analjit Singh (aka BAS), is a partner in Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines with Chris and Andrea Mullineux, the team behind these celebrated wines produced on Roundstone Farm in the Swartland appellation and at Leeu Estates in Franschhoek. By 2021, Mullineux & Leeu Family Wines had notched up over 45 five-star ratings from Platter’s South African Wine Guide since its first release in 2008, and was also named the wine guide’s Winery of the Year in 2014, 2016, 2019, 2020 and 2023 – the first winery in South Africa to achieve this accolade five times. Wine Enthusiast, the prestigious US magazine, named Andrea its 2016 Winemaker of the Year.
Indaba – The Meeting Place at Leeu Estates is a state-of-the-art multipurpose event and meeting venue for inhouse Leeu Collection guests. Inspiring artworks enhance this multipurpose venue and private terrace, designed for a variety of functions: Press briefings, seminars, business meetings, exhibitions and launches.
Indaba, which is 140 square metres (1 510 square feet) in size and has its own lift, boasts wireless audio and video conferencing equipment, a 203-centimetre (80-inch) television screen and high-speed Wi-Fi.

Visitors looking for an informal fine dining eatery now have the perfect venue in Protégé, featuring stylish casual fare created by a team of talented young chefs headed by Andrew Willemse. The idea with Protégé is to keep it casual and comfortable, hitting all the spots with a refined, flavour-packed approach to casual fine-dining. The kitchen team works with local suppliers to keep the menu as fresh and seasonal as possible. Visitors can choose to dine al fresco or watch the chefs at work in the central show kitchen. Resident guests are invited to take their breakfast here or order in-room dining.
The flavour-packed menu is inspired by the team’s culinary expedition to India, as well as memories of travels through Spain, Japan, Mexico, Denmark and the US, as well as chef Charné Simpson’s own Cape Town family influences. Presented in a home-cooking-style with a refined edge, the experience begins from the moment you sit down, providing an array of delectably curated dishes that showcase the essence of spice (Épice) from around the world.
