This unusual rock formation, home to the exotic temple on the sea, Pura Tanah Lot, is something of a Balinese icon. A shot of this mystical structure at sunset is considered a ‘must-do’ when visiting Bali. While non-Balinese are not allowed to enter the temple, you can walk right up to it if you visit at low tide, or for the full effect of its unique position, visit during high tide and get closer by using the zigzag of walkways.
