Jatiluwih Rice Terrace is located about 700 meters above sea level in the lush, green highlands of Bali, in the Penebel district of the Tabanan Regency. The secluded rural village and farming area enjoys a cool climate and encompasses over 600 hectares of land situated at the scenic base of the Batukaru Mountain. Visitors can enjoy the fresh mountain air and hikes through the exotic landscape comprised of flowing rivers and verdant terraces which implement a traditional irrigation system. In June 2012 Jatiluwih Village, along with four other areas in the Subak landscape was named a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site.
