Set against the untamed backdrop of Hwange National Park, Somalisa Acacia epitomizes the natural beauty of the African wild. This Experience embraces sustainability, featuring solar power and a water purification system that recycles up to 80% of its water. It also overlooks a wildlife watering hole, attracting a diverse array of animals and providing many opportunities for observation.

Somalisa Acacia has recently under gone a complete rebuild and now comprises of 2 Luxury Family Units with inter-leading walkways between the parents and children’s rooms which are both en-suite.

All the simple but luxurious tents are on slightly raised decks, under the dappled canopy of a grove of Acacias on the western side of Somalisa.
Luxury Tented Suite
Somalisa Acacia has two luxury tented suites and two luxury tented family suites that feature inter-connecting bedrooms. From the comfort of your own private viewing deck, watch as zebra, giraffe, and other wildlife gracefully saunter into view. All luxury tented suites include a wood-burning fireplace, a copper slipper-style bath, a lavish king-size bed, and an indoor and outdoor shower. Our family luxury tented suites are connected to the main area by a wooden boardwalk. Inside each suite, you'll find two interconnected rooms; the children’s room, slightly cozier, features a privacy flap that can be drawn down for added seclusion between the two rooms. There are cots available for young children.

"Ngwana," the Setswana word for “explorer,” is the name of our young adventurer program at Somalisa Acacia, Nyamatusi Mahogany, and Linyanti Ebony. The Ngwana Club offers a variety of safari adventures for children of all ages, including nature walks, cooking classes, traditional storytelling, and arts and crafts. Children’s safari activities are tailored to each family's unique needs and preferences, considering ages and any special interests or requests.
