Onguma Game Reserve was originally part of the greater Etosha Game Reserve. The 20,000ha reserve includes savannah, bushveld, omuramba and dry pan and lies on the eastern side of Etosha, bordering Fisher's pan, and offers the opportunity to experience Africa in all her beauty and diversity. Age-old and well-worn migration routes, once used by elephant and buffalo wander through Onguma's three dry riverbeds. Plains game roam freely on the reserve and this part of Namibia has been identified as one of the key bird watching sites in Southern Africa with thousands of species migrating to wetlands created by the seasonal rains and ephemeral river systems. Onguma Bush Camp is a mid budget bed and breakfast lodge. Lunch and dinner are on offer however lunch needs to be pre-booked.
