One of the original natural wonders of the world, the Victoria Falls is breathtaking and not surprisingly a World Heritage Site. Known locally as "Mosi-oa-Tunya" - "The Smoke that Thunders" this spectacle is one of the world's largest waterfalls with a width of 1,708 and is accessible from both Zambia and Zimbabwe. Unlike other waterfalls, Victoria Falls has a natural catwalk across from the falls, which provide spectacular viewing points of this magical towering column of spray when the river is high, and tranquil lagoons upstream in which hippo and crocodiles lurk.
