Situated on the south coast of the island of Basse-Terre, Trois-Rivieres is a commune in the French overseas department of Guadeloupe. Trois-Rivieres is named after the three rivers running through it: the river of Trou au Chien, the Petit Carbet, and the River Grand Anse, which is the longest. It serves as a great base to explore the scenic Atlantic coastline, the mountains of Soufriere, and the Cistern volcano. Trois-Rivieres boasts a rich cultural heritage and colonial architecture and is home to a collection of engraved rocks around the Petit Carbet. Visitors can look forward to discovering the selection of natural attractions, such as the Grand Anse beach and the trails of Acomat and Grande Pointe.
