Ostia is a large neighbourhood in the city of Rome and is known for its archaeological site of Ostia Antica. It is near the ancient port of Rome and situated on the Tyrrhenian Sea, which is a popular holiday spot for locals. The neighbourhood was established in 1884 and was the site of the death of Saint Monica, the mother of Saint Augustine.
