The Amazoonico Animal Rescue Center is a great visit. Within 5 hectares, this center rehabilitates animals from the Amazon in order to reintroduce them in their natural habitats. Amazoonico takes care for more than 400 animals that can be released and the center also carries out other environmental activities with visitors, focused on conservation and the perils of illegal wildlife trafficking.

Visitors are received from 8h30 to 15h30 every day, and the walk around the place takes approx. 1 hour. With your entrance fee ($5) you support the maintenance of the center and its animals.

Unfortunately, there are many animals that cannot be reintroduced into their natural habitats for various reasons. These are the animals that you'll see, amongst which are macaws, parrots, yaguarundis, ocelots, coatis, toucans, turtles, different species of monkeys, among others. The Animal Rescue Center takes great care of them.
