The architecturally designed lodge was strategically positioned along the seasonal Ross River in the Timbavati Game Reserve. The interior designer has created a relaxed ambience with indoor and outdoor guest spaces that segue into each other, and enable both communal and private moments suffused with an authentic bush feel.
RockFig Safari Lodge is the perfect bush destination for families with children of all ages, or for groups of friends.

Morning and afternoon game drives with professional guides and trackers, and a maximum of 4 guests per vehicle ensure incredible wildlife experiences that bring this wild corner of South Africa to life.
Activities include two daily game viewing activities with a professional guide and tracker. You can tailor make your activities to suit your group. Game viewing is spectacular where any of the Big 5 can be experienced with the added bonus of tracking wild dogs, cheetah and white lions.
Optional activities include rhino chipping, elephant collaring, Blyde River helicopter flips and micro light flights.

Heading out on game drives from RockFig Safari Lodge gives guests the chance to get in tune with the Timbavati wilds, and see how the professional guides and trackers read the signs of the bush to anticipate the movements and behaviour of birds and animals for the best possible viewing and photographic opportunities.
Bush walks can be combined with the game drives should the guests wish to do so.
Kids receive an activity pack which includes an activity book. The guides help the kids to work through their book and at the end of the stay they receive a certificate
Bush Breakfast- This includes a lovely full continental breakfast. Guests are able to enjoy a hearty meal, surrounded by nature.
Bush breakfast and pancake stops is however, weather dependant.
