The Choeung Ek Genocidal Centre Killing Fields of Pol Pot is a memorial to over one million people who were executed between 1975 and 1979 by the Khmer Rouge regime.

Audio guides are available for free at the entrance and provide a detailed guide to the events that occurred.

The site contains many tributes to the victims that lost their lives and visitors are encouraged to visit the site and pay tribute to them in the act of remembrance so that such tragedies never occur again.
