Located on the extreme south-west point of Australia, the Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse was built in 1895. The tallest lighthouse on the mainland was constructed using local limestone. Visitors can embark on a 176-step guided tour to the top of the observation deck and be mesmerised by the maritime history and the captivating views. The lighthouse was automated in 1992. Visitors can stroll around the grounds and if lucky, can spot dolphins and whales. Facilities include a café, a shop and lookout areas.
