Guests are invited to tour the resort’s beautiful native gardens with the Six Seasons of Bunker Bay Garden Exploration Experience - a small group garden walk, guided by a local Indigenous Elder.
Suitable for all ages, during the Six Seasons of Bunker Bay Garden Exploration Experience guests learn about the culture and language of the local Wardandi people who have thrived in the south west of Western Australia for over 45,000 years.
As the traditional owners, the Wardandi are custodians of the Margaret River Region and possess an intimate knowledge of the land. The tour is called ‘Six Seasons’ because the Wardandi people recognise six distinct seasons of the year, each lasting around two months.
The garden has been designed to showcase a stunning array of plant species native to the region. It has been created by the hotel in collaboration with members of the local Indigenous community, Busselton Men’s Shed and the local Geographe Community Landcare Nursery.
Guests can also choose to extend their walk to include a self-guided tour of the Cape to Cape track where many more plant species can be found. The Margaret River Region is home to over 2,500 species of wildflowers that make for a truly stunning sight when in full bloom.
Guests can also purchase a book which provides more information about the plants in the garden for $8, with $3 from the sale of each book donated to the AccorHotels Community Fund. AccorHotels Community Fund is committed to building healthy families by working with selected partner charities.

Aptly named after the nearby Other Side of the Moon surf break - a magical place where you can watch the moon rise and set over the ocean - the heart and soul of this outstanding restaurant is the array of fresh, locally sourced produce featured proudly on its modern Australian menu.
Starring a who's who of the Margaret River's local best, the menu pays homage to indigenous ingredients that flourish in Bunker Bay during the Wardandi six seasons.
Indulge in succulent, locally bred Big Red pork belly and marbled wagyu beef, Denmark mushrooms, foraged herbs, Manjimup truffle oil, Cambray pecorino and native pepper berry... just to name a few..
And of course, the restaurant’s location in the world renowned Margaret River Wine Region has led to an extensive wine list featuring a treasure trove of award-winning local wines, and sumptuous buffet breakfasts include complimentary local sparkling wine on request.
To avoid disappointment we strongly recommend making your dinner reservation prior to checking in at the resort, particularly if your stay falls over a weekend.
Sample an array of local and imported wines, beers and cocktails alongside a selection of light meals, including Tapastry by Pullman. During the cooler months relax by the open fireplace with a glass of red wine. The perfect place to catch up and chill out.
Open from 11am till late with magnificent ocean views, The Bar & Bistro is a wonderful place for casual, intimate dining with someone special, or catch ups with friends and family.
