Cape Lodge is located on Caves Road, only three kilometers away from the Indian Ocean and is surrounded by the wineries of Margaret River. The climate is described as Mediterranean with long warm sunny days in summer, beautiful bright crisp spring weather and snug winter days ideal for drinking red wine by the fire.

The 5 Garden View rooms, all have tranquil garden views. Four rooms have courtyards with outdoor settings and one room is located within the main lodge and features a wheelchair access bathroom. All Rooms feature king size or twin beds, flat screen TV and DVD player with en suite bathroom and walk in shower.
The 4 Garden View Deluxe rooms, each feature a balcony overlooking the gardens, towards the lake. Rooms are equipped with king size or twin beds, flat screen TV, DVD player and open plan en suite with shower, over a large spa bath.
The Lakeside rooms perched beside the brook and are surrounded by natural landscaping.
All rooms feature king-size, large bathrooms with separate spacious walk in showers and freestanding baths with underfloor heating. The sitting area includes flat screen TV and DVD player
Located in the Main Lodge the Lodge King Deluxe Room is 50m2 with king size bed, spacious granite ensuite with free standing bath, walk in shower, flat screen TV and DVD player
Sitting privately on it’s own three acres, The Private Residence features light and understated interiors, with beautiful fabrics, marble bathrooms and bench tops, as well as expanses of polished timber floorboards throughout. Artworks hang on the walls by well recognized Australian artists.
Privately secluded with views across formal gardens, rolling lawns to a private lake and putting green with white sand bunker, The Residence can accommodate up to 4 couples and is a short stroll from all the facilities of Cape Lodge, including the lake side restaurant. The Residence is the ideal gourmet vineyard retreat only minutes away from pristine Margaret River beaches, karri forests, wineries and vineyards.
The expansive open plan lounge, dining and entertaining areas feature fully equipped kitchen brandishing Miele oven, gas cook top, dishwasher and microwave, as well as open fire place, reverse cycle air conditioning, surround sound flat screen television, Apple TV and DVD player. All crockery, cookware and cutlery is provided.

Fi Wilkie is a painter based in Margaret River where she has lived and worked for over 25 years. In addition to her job as a full time artist she is also an experienced teacher, working with anyone who is artistically curious to encourage engagement with their own creative thinking. She runs a series of workshops at her dynamic home art space - Toot Studio. All these workshop experiences aim to build confidence and stimulate a fearlessness in the participants and their intuitive artistic expression. Fi's accomplished work is represented at Linton and Kay Galleries in Perth and John Miller Gallery in Margaret River. Her Toot Studio is also part of the highly successful annual Margaret River Open Studios event.

Beginners Painting | A fun and inspiring 4 hour painting workshop for all ages and abilities.
Design & Create your own hand painted Silk Scarf | A full day retreat run by both Fi Wilkie and Michelle Miller, also a local artist and teacher who brings to this class her expertise with silk. Spend the morning designing the image for your scarf, playing with unique shapes, colours and lines. After lunch, transfer your design to a beautiful piece of silk, which will be yours to take home and wear by the end of the day.
Private Group Art Classes | Book a private class for yourself and some friends, or perhaps a group of colleagues. Art activities can be geared to the groups specific needs.
Sketch + Paint Art Escape | Monthly weekend of art classes run by Fi Wilkie, held at Jarvis Estate Winery on Saturday and at Cape Lodge on Sunday.

View these majestic creatures up close as they make their annual migration between the Antarctic and the pristine waters of Western Australia's South West coast with the opportunity to view Humpback Whales, Southern Right Whales, and the rare Blue and Minke Whales on both their northern and southern migrations.

Each brewery has its own distinctive style from traditional pale ales and pilsners to preservative and additive free brews. By contrast chocolate beers, ginger and chilli beer will give your tastebuds something new to think about. Brave inventive styles are introduced regularly and frequent the daily tasting list. Some also produce their own cider, there’s even a distillery.

The Margaret River Region is as spectacular underneath the ground as it is on top. Over 150 highly decorated limestone caves lay beneath the surface of the Leeuwin Naturaliste Ridge.
Formed approximately 1 million years ago, a number of these complex and fragile karst systems are open to the public. Go inside and be amazed by these massive labyrinths decorated intricately with limestone crystal formations.
Cave tours range from completely easy ‘at your own pace’ self-guided tours, guided tours along boardwalks with great commentary, ‘off piste’ adventure hard-hat tours to extremely adventurous ‘abseil your way in’ expeditions.
It is difficult to choose the best cave tour in the Margaret River Region. You can marvel at the reflections on Lake Cave’s permanent lake, be dwarfed in Jewel Cave’s enormous chambers and take it easy on the Mammoth Cave self- guided tour. At Yallingup’s Ngilgi Cave (pronounced ‘nilgi‘), you will learn the Aboriginal legend as you look up at limestone shawl formations– or delve deeper into the cave on an adventure tour.
The Cape Lodge Restaurant
The Cape Lodge restaurant features seasonal local and homegrown produce plucked from nearby oceans, local farms and the kitchen garden, to create fresh innovative cuisine. The wine list is extensive and features both back vintages from Margaret River’s wine estates as well as other Australian and international wine regions. Dine in the lakeside restaurant, or for something a little more casual enjoy a seasonal Harvest Produce Platter in the comfort of the Guest Lounge or the privacy of a suite.
