The Dorp Hotel is often referred to as Cape Town's best-kept secret and the most mysterious hotel in the city. The views and location of the Dorp—discreetly perched above Bo-Kaap, high on the slopes of Signal Hill—are breathtaking. From here, the city is overshadowed by Table Mountain and its companion, Devil's Peak, while the blue Atlantic stretches to the east and the Twelve Apostles mountain range rises through Kloof Nek to the west.
ACCOMMODATION & ROOMS
The Dorp, meaning "village" in Afrikaans, is hard to categorize. It consists of Georgian-style buildings, a wild garden, and quirky features such as a shower in a sunroom and curtains instead of doors. The late owner and artist Gail Behr imbued the Dorp in 2018 with a whimsical, personal, and nostalgic atmosphere.
