The town also boasts a medieval 13th-century citadel, which offers spectacular views from high above a curve in the scenic river below. Other not-to-be-missed attractions include Matyas Kiraly Museum, focused on Visegrad’s rich cultural heritage; the Duna-Ipoly National Park, featuring marked trails, an impressive cave and the Ferto bird sanctuary; and the Pilis Mountains, offering excellent hunting opportunities and an array of hunting lodges.
