The Superior rooms boast a gorgeous laminate vinyl floor which extends throughout the bedroom and living space into the breezy new bathroom areas. Characteristic French doors allow the light to flow in. The windows are dressed with a gorgeous full block out high-quality cotton sateen curtain with leaf motif. A sheer organza curtain backs this to allow light yet maintain privacy.
The writing desks have a shiny new ottoman chair with a luxury textured upholstered finish and are equipped with high quality tea and coffee making stations. Under bed handwoven sisal carpets finish the traditional feel and create an interesting border extending out from the beds for an added luxurious finish. Luxury 300 thread count linen and fluffy allergy proof duvets dress every bed.
An opaque glass paneled door leads into the bathroom which is designed in hues of greys, white and mushroom allowing a combination of textures to blend into what can only be described as a feeling of complete calm and serenity. The new vanity with free standing luxury porcelain basin is framed by a designer glass wall unit with floating glass shelves displaying our high-quality amenities. A frameless walk in shower complete with an active shower console offering a multiple spray shower experience is state of the art. The shower floor is highlighted with a mixed glass, marble and chrome mosaic finish and the wall tiles in the shower show off with a ceramic designer texture.

The Suites are more spacious then the Superior Rooms, but still have the same look and feel to them. They are situated on an upper level, access by stairs only.

Guests can enjoy a morning and afternoon safari in open 4 x 4 vehicles. The early morning safaris are very rewarding with light for photography. Lions are still lively and on the move at this time, antelope are more energetic and an abundance of birds may also be seen. The afternoon safaris provide an opportunity to see nocturnal animals.
During the winter months the morning safaris depart at 06h30 and the afternoon safaris depart at 15h30. In summer the times change to 05h30 for the morning and 16h15 for the afternoon safaris.
Tea and coffee is served before the morning and afternoon safari departs.
The guided bush walks allows one to get close up and have an intimate experience of the local flora and fauna. Walks are available on request, subject to availability and at an additional charge. No children under 14 years are permitted.
Experience getting really close to the animals in their natural environment, with no vehicles close by. This 2 hour activity will take you off the road and deep into the bush, on the paths where the animals wander. No need to be an experienced rider to enjoy getting up and close and personal with nature.
Horse back Safaris can be booked at the lodge and there is an additional charge, or alternatively you can swop one of your game drives for a horseback safari.
Guests can enjoy an eco-adventure trail on our 4x4 quad bikes in an allocated area within the Reserve. This allows for an alternative guided game viewing experience at the helm of one of our 450 cc quad bikes. There are five quads, one for the guide and four for guests. This activity is for four people but can accommodate up to eight if you want take along a passenger on the back.
Offering buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, or a set menu during low season, Mabula Game Lodge’s main restaurant, the restaurant seats 160 guests.

Dine under the stars in Mabula Game Lodge’s Boma, for dinners (weather permitting) usually every second or third night. The Boma offers seating up to 180 guests for gala dinners and theme evenings. Enjoy traditional Tswana dancing and a breathtakingly brilliant starry sky while you tuck in to tasty South African and Indian cuisine.

It’s bushveld dining at its best. Set deep within the Mabula bush is the spectacular Fig Tree dinner venue; a 100-year-old Wild Fig tree adorned with flickering lanterns providing a magnificent backdrop for your special dinner. Fig Tree is available for gala dinners and theme evenings during which you can enjoy Mabula’s traditional dancers and marimba band or even brave a fire walk over red-hot coals. The venue seats over 180 guests and entertainment can be arranged until 22h00 by special request. Fig Tree is an electricity-free venue.

Ideal for smaller groups, Mvubu Deck overlooks a small dam and is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner, as well as gala dinners, theme evenings and weddings. Seating up to 60 guests and within walking distance from the main lodge, Mvubu offers buffet meals as well as on-site entertainment until 23h00.
