Bordering the Kafue Flats just southwest of Lusaka in Zambia, the Lochinvar National Park is a relatively small reserve stretching for only 410 kilometres. The exceptionally beautiful landscape is characterised by vast grasslands, woodlands, and lush wetlands. The park is best known for the large herds of Kafue lechwe boasting over 30 000 of these animals. Other commonly spotted wildlife includes: buffalo, blue wildebeest, hippo, zebra, kudu, bushbuck, oribi, jackal, reedbuck and over 400 species of bird. Visitors can look forward to excellent game viewing opportunities.
