After your hotel pick up and transfer to the Southern Highlands you start the day at Tertini Wines near the historic village of Berrima. Since their first harvest this wine maker has won award after award including The Gourmet Traveler Wine 2017 Cellar Door “Best Tasting Experience”. Its a great introduction to the cool climate wines of the region in a bushland setting.

Next its a visit to St Maur Vineyard which started as a dairy farm in Exeter. Pinot Noir, Cabernet and Merlot vines soon replaced cattle and this small batch vineyard produced its first vintage in 2003. The grapes are harvested in mid to late autumn and pruned heavily to control leaf growth which limits the fruit quantity but produces a more intensely flavoured grape. During our visit we taste a selection of the Saint and St Maur Lot41 Series.

We then transfer into Bowral for lunch at Biota. Awarded 2 Hats in the SMH Good Food Guide in 2018 Biota our visit takes in their shared plate lunch menu as we enjoy the crafted contemporary interiors of this award restaurant In winter you are welcomed by warm open fires and in spring /summer the terrace offers alfresco dining.

Our last stop of the day is Centennial Vineyard. With up to 35 wines on offer in the cellar door the winery processes many different varietals and style and is one of the largest producers in the region. They also source grapes from their winery in Orange NSW offering a unique NSW Wine experience to visitors. We then take you back to your hotel in time to enjoy dinner that evening.
