Poço Azul, located in Nova Redenção, Bahia, Brazil, is a striking underground cave pool renowned for its vivid turquoise waters illuminated by sunlight at certain times of the year. Visitors can descend into the cavern to float in the crystal-clear mineral-rich water, enjoying snorkelling with provided gear. Notably, the site is Brazil’s largest submerged paleontological location, where fossils of fourteen species, including a near-complete skeleton of a giant ground sloth, were discovered at depths exceeding 500 feet.
