Encanto Azul, located in Riachão, Maranhão, is a stunning ecotourism destination renowned for its vibrant blue springs and lush forest surroundings. Visitors can descend approximately 200 steps along a staircase and follow a short trail to reach the refreshing pool. Activities at this site include swimming in waters that are up to seven meters deep, spotting small fish, and exploring submerged rock formations. Accessing Encanto Azul requires traveling along the MA-334 highway and an unpaved road, which is best navigated with a 4x4 vehicle and a local guide. Notably, the water temperature at Encanto Azul is consistently pleasant, and its colours are truly dazzling.
