Located on the banks of the mighty Zambezi River, just upstream from Victoria Falls, Zambezi National Park offers a quieter, more intimate safari experience in north-western Zimbabwe. Stretching across riverine forest, teak woodland and open grassland, the park is home to elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and a variety of predators, while abundant birdlife fills the air with colour and song. Game drives and river-based activities reveal ever-changing perspectives of the landscape, from golden sunsets reflected on the water to wildlife gathering along the river's edge. Less visited than some of southern Africa's flagship reserves, the park rewards travellers with a genuine sense of wilderness, spectacular scenery and the chance to experience the untamed beauty of the Zambezi at a more relaxed pace.
