Also known as Città Vecchia, Ortigia is a small island located on Sicily's south-eastern coast. The island is home to several archaeological sites, including the Piazza Duomo and the Cathedral of Syracuse. Situated just across the bridge from mainland Syracuse, travellers will come to the majestic ruins of the Greek Temple of Apollo.
