Black Turtle Cove, known in Spanish as Caleta Tortuga Negra, is a mangrove estuary located on the northern coast of Santa Cruz Island in the Galápagos archipelago. It forms part of Ecuador’s national park system, which enforces strict conservation measures. The area is accessible by small boats with engines turned off to minimise disturbance. Wildlife such as rays, sea turtles, pelicans, and other marine species inhabit the mangroves, contributing to the region’s ecological diversity.
