Rhino Immobilisation & Conservation Experience

You’ll join the wildlife veterinary team for an unforgettable hands-on conservation experience working with Africa’s iconic rhino. The day begins early to take advantage of the cooler morning hours — though locating the right animals in this vast reserve and dense bush can take time, adding to the adventure and anticipation.

You’ll assist in essential rhino management procedures, which may include dehorning, collaring, health checks, or DNA collection — all vital components of the reserve’s ongoing efforts to protect these magnificent animals from poaching. The specific tasks undertaken will depend on current conservation priorities and veterinary needs within the reserve.
