Dubai Museum is housed within the beautifully restored Al Fahidi Fort, which was erected around 1787 to defend the city against invasion and was opened as a museum in 1971. The museum's diverse collection of exhibits offers a fascinating insight into the rich history and cultural heritage of Dubai. Displays, hands-on exhibits, hologram-like movies and information stands showcase the lives and times of the city and its people, from the third millennium B.C. to the present day.
Opening hours are Saturday to Thursday, 8:30 – 20:30 and Friday from 14:00 – 20:30
