Cruises along the Geikie Gorge in the Geikie Gorge National Park take place from May to November each year. On such a cruise, visitors are given insight into the wildlife and geology of the gorge and birds such as sea eagles and rare purple-crowned fairy-wrens may be observed along with acrobatic crocodiles snapping at stray flying-foxes. Cruises are available for private individuals and can also be booked by commercial tour operators.
