The Tsitsikamma region lies to the east of Plettenberg Bay: a luxuriant indigenous forest, with rugged ravines, streams and waterfalls. The vegetation descends to the Storms River mouth with its dramatic coastal scenery. Here you can enjoy the short but scenic walk to the suspension bridge. The adventurous can opt for more arduous walking trails, bungi-jumping or ziplining through the forest on the Treetop Canopy Tour.

Closer to Plett, lies The Crags. Here you can visit the Monkeyland primate sanctuary, Birds of Eden, the Elephant sanctuary, even wine-tasting at Bramon. Families could well enjoy the Puzzle Park.

Whilst Plettenberg Bay itself is a chic resort town with long sandy beaches. Visit the Robberg Nature Reserve with its many coastal trails, enjoy a boat ride to view the 40 species of whales and dolphins, cruise up the Keurbooms River through the forest, or simply enjoy an alfresco lunch overlooking Lookout Beach.
