In East Africa, open vehicles are not permitted in certain areas, such as on the main roads between the National Parks and some areas of the parks (including the Ngorongoro Crater). This is all about comfort and safety – in some parks, cheetah populations are thriving, these clever hunters like to hop onto a safari vehicle to scan the horizon for prey. It’s a thrilling encounter best enjoyed behind an actual car door. Also if the weather does turn, and you experience a big downpour or strong winds, you will be grateful to be in an enclosed vehicle. These custom safari vehicles do however have pop-up roofs and large side windows for unrestricted viewing outside, and they seat between 4 to 6 people.

Our trips provide private use of this vehicle for you as a couple, family or small group - and you will also have your own private guide for the duration of the trip.
