Laguna Colorada, also known as the Red Lagoon, is a striking salt lake in the Eduardo Avaroa Andean Fauna National Reserve, Potosí, Bolivia. Visitors can admire its vivid crimson waters, observe colonies of flamingos, and explore the surrounding high-altitude desert landscapes. Notably, the lagoon’s colour is caused by red sediments and pigmented algae, while borax islands create a dramatic contrast. It is also recognised as a Ramsar Wetland of International Importance.
