Mount Ebenezer Roadhouse is owned by the local Imanpa Community, located 13 km from the Roadhouse at the base of the Basedow mountain range to the north. The lands surrounding the Mt Ebenezer Roadhouse are the traditional lands of members of the Imanpa community who are predominantly Yakunytjatjara and Pitjantjatjara peoples. The Roadhouse is operated by Indervon Pty Ltd, a retail and petroleum distribution company solely owned by the Ngaanyatjarra people whose tradition lands are located west and north west of Uluru.
Water for the roadhouse is sourced from the Great Artesian Basin, a large underground aquifer that covers a large area of central and north eastern Australia and is pumped from a bore located ten kilometres away towards the mountains to the north of the roadhouse. The water is pumped by diesel motor to 3 water tanks behind the roadhouse and then pumped up to an overhead tank located 15 metres high on a stand to give better water pressure.
