Perched on a lofty plateau overlooking the ocean in the Kogelberg Nature Reserve, Iona’s first vineyards were planted in 1998. Today the farm produces a range of red and white wines, and is particularly well known for the delicate nuances of its Sauvignon Blanc vintages, of which the 2007 vintage was awarded a double accolade – best South African white wine and best Sauvignon Blanc at the International Wine Challenge in London. Tastings are possible on weekdays from 9am to 5pm, but must be pre-organised via telephone.
