Gelegen in de pittoreske wijnlanden, in het centrum van Franschhoek, vind je TheLAB Guesthouse, een innovatief concept in de guesthouse branch. High tech en groen voeren de hoofdtoon. Alle high tech snufjes en ecologische voorzieningen zijn ontwikkeld in een laboratorium (LAB), maar de afkorting staat ook voor LivinAfricaBox, het geautomatiseerde systeem wat zich in elke kamer bevindt en waarmee gasten allerlei functionaliteiten kunnen aansturen via knopjes, schakelaars en zelfs met je stem. The LAB ligt dichtbij het Hugenot Monument en diverse winkeltjes, kunstgaleries en gerenommeerde restaurants.
De kamers zijn ingericht in minimalistische stijl en variëren in grootte en luxe. Sommige kamers hebben aparte badkamers, andere kamers hebben een Open Plan indeling waar de badkamer is afgeschermd met een glazen wand. Het ontbijt wordt geserveerd aan de lange tafel in de keuken of buiten op de patio. Er is een groot dek met prachtig uitzicht op de bergen, waar je heerlijk kan ontspannen op de ligstoelen rond het zwembad of in de jacuzzi. Het hotel biedt diverse activiteiten zoals het huren van e-bikes, mountainbikes of e-scooters, een cinema-experience in de privé cinema van het hotel of diverse massages.
