Kek Lok Si Temple is a Buddhist temple located in Air Itam, Malaysia, and is an important site for pilgrims from Hong Kong, Singapore and other countries in Southeast Asia. The temple, built between 1890 and 1930, includes Mahayana and Theravada Buddhism and traditional Chinese rituals. These are reflected harmoniously in architecture and artwork. A 36m high bronze statue of Guanyin is situated above the pagoda and is covered by a three-tiered roof pavilion.
