Perched at the cliffs edge-on in the Faroe Islands, Gasadalur is a tiny and remote village, that prior to 2004, was only accessible by helicopter, ship or an intense mountainous hike through the surrounding settlement. After a tunnel was built through the mountain, the town became accessible by car, causing its diminishing population to rise to above 18. What this unique village lacks in population, it makes up in character, with breathtaking views over the sea, unspoilt vistas, historically quaint homes, and the iconic MĂșlafossur Waterfall.
