Vast herds of wildebeest pass just outside your tent, following a migratory path worn over millennia. Far-ranging herds of wildebeest make up the iconic Great Migration, travelling a never-ending circuit from the southern Serengeti in Tanzania, up northwest towards the mighty Mara River, and back again.
Located in the Lamai Wedge in the northern reaches of the Serengeti, Nyasi affords guests seamless access to the Mara River – the iconic location of the wildebeest crossings. Experience a front row seat to the procession of more than two million wildebeest, zebra and Thomson’s gazelle as they traverse across the vast grass plains.

Nyasi Tented Camp has 8 en-suite tented rooms. Refined and comfortable interiors ensure that this camping experience is one like no other. Interiors are inspired by the vibrant cultures and natural surrounds found in Tanzania.
All tents can be set up as twin / king & can accommodate an extra bed (stretcher bed). Bathrooms are en-suite, comprising a double vanity, flushing toilet, and fully plumbed indoor shower.
Please note that from 1 June 2025, Nyasi Tented Camp will have 6 en-suite tented rooms.
Nyasi Tented Camp has 1 spacious family tent with 2 en-suite rooms and a shared lounge. Each of the two bedrooms has an en-suite with an indoor shower and a double vanity.
Please note, between 1 June and 31 October 2025, Nyasi will have 2 family tents.
Family Suite
The family suite consists of two en suite tents adjoined by a lounge tent. As each tent has its own bathroom and can zip closed entirely, privacy is ensured, making this idea for friends travelling together, as well as families.
Sumptuous and comfortable interiors ensure that this camping experience is one like no other. Interiors are inspired by the colourful cultures and natural surrounds found in Tanzania.Greet the dawn with a morning wake-up call and tea, coffee or hot chocolate delivered directly to your tent
All tents can be set up as twin / king & can accommodate an extra bed (stretcher bed). Bathrooms are en-suite, comprising a vanity stand with a pitcher of water, a flushing toilet, and a shower which is filled with hot water on request. Toiletries are provided.
A private camp consists of 1 family tent (2 bedrooms) adjoined by a lounge tent and 2 separate double ensuite tented suites (1 bedroom per tented suite). This private camp can sleep 6 adults/2 kids.
