Mount Bromo forms part of the Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park in Indonesia's East Java Province. This active volcano stands at an elevation of 2,329 metres. The annual Yadnya Kasada Festival takes place at Mount Bromo. During the ceremony, the locals offer grains, vegetables, livestock, and other gifts to the gods, throwing them into the volcano's caldera. Mount Bromo can be accessed by an approximately 45-minute walk from Cemoro Lawang village or by riding in a 4 wheel drive vehicle.
