South Luangwa National Park, located in eastern Zambia, offers a unique and unforgettable safari experience. With the park covering 9,050 km2 of the Luangwa Valley floor and the Luangwa River meandering along its southern border, the park attracts large concentrations of wildlife including elephant, lion, leopard, African wild dog, buffalo, and the endemic Thornicroft's giraffe. Over 400 species of bird have also been recorded in the park, making it an all-round rich wildlife area.
