The Takakkaw Falls are a major feature in the northern part of the Yoho National Park in British Columbia. The highest point of the falls is 380 metres from its base, making it the 2nd tallest waterfall in Canada. The falls are formed by water melting from the Daly Glacier in the Waputik Mountains and consist of three distinct, nearly vertical drops. The falls are accessible mid-June to mid-October to bicycles and small vehicles only due to tight, steep switchbacks.
