Whether you're seeking a romantic escape or an adventure-filled getaway, the lodge provides a serene and comfortable retreat, located just 40 minutes from the world-famous Kruger National Park. Its design blends Victorian elegance with African charm, beautifully complemented by the presence of 900-year-old Jackalberry trees, whose expansive canopies shade the pristine lawns. Recognized as one of Southern Africa’s natural wonders, the Blyde River Canyon is a sight to behold.
The lodge offers a selection of six elegantly furnished double/twin rooms, each with an en-suite bathroom, as well as an exclusive Honeymoon Suite for a truly intimate retreat. Additionally, a luxurious two-bedroom cottage is available, featuring two en-suite bathrooms and modern comforts.
All rooms open onto the lodge’s tranquil gardens, where guests can witness zebras, & wildebeest roaming freely.

A blend of Victorian and African decor compliments this unique and elegant luxurious four bedroom, four bathroom house which also includes a lounge, dining room, bar, TV lounge and a fully equipped kitchen. The fourth bedroom, which is our luxury double bed private Garden room with shower en suite, has doors leading out to the garden and swimming pool, and is attached to the main house with its own
outside entrance. There are also BBQ (Braai) facilities available, both wood and gas.
Accommodation – 3 separate cottages, let out as one booking
Sunbird Main Cottage – master bedroom, en suite bathroom, fully equipped kitchen, lounge and dining area
Bush Baby Cottage – two bedrooms, shared bathroom, kitchenette (2nd bedroom ideal for children)
Mongoose Cottage – two bedrooms, shared bathroom, kitchenette (2nd bedroom ideal for children)
There is also a shared ‘Lapa’ (thatched gazebo) with a kitchen, cooking and braai facilities as well.
There is also a rock pool under the shady trees.
The cottages, which are serviced daily, are tastefully furnished and each main bedroom is equipped with an air-conditioning unit. Guests will love the serene gardens surrounding the cottages and may be lucky enough to see zebra, wildebeest and other wild game wander by.

The cottages are perfect for self-catering, however full English breakfasts and dinners are served daily and delicious country cuisine is available at Blyde River Canyon Lodge on request..
