Be enchanted by the rich vegetation with the possibility of meeting elephants adapted to the desert in the dry valley of the Aba-Huab river. Our expert field guides will take you on an exciting journey into nature, full of interesting facts about the area, its history and wildlife. You are looking for sightings of birds of prey, antelope, fairy circles, Welwitchia Mirabilis and many other interesting geological formations. Our guides have an excellent record for tracking roaming free elephant herds in the desert and will do their best to meet with these magnificent giants. Much time is allowed to take pictures and exchange information on endemic fauna and flora.
The journey returns through savannah valleys, small dunes, the dry river bed and interesting geological formations. A stop at Welwitchia Hill allows guests to disembark the vehicle and enjoy a beautiful sunset in a pristine natural environment. Take all the photos you want of the sun setting through the savannah plains similar to desert and distant mountains. This is Africa at its best.
After sunset, guests return to the lodge to cool off and enjoy a delicious buffet dinner.
Guests are required to meet their guide at the reception 15 minutes before the departure time for a reception session. The guide will provide a general introduction to the tour and highlight specific safety and environmental regulations that must be respected. Guests are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity to inform their guide about specific fields of interest such as photography, birdwatching, animal behavior, etc. The guide will structure the tour to focus on these areas of interest.
