Reopened June 2026 following a complete rebuild, Kwetsani Camp combines its iconic elevated treehouse design with a contemporary, luxurious new aesthetic. Set on a palm-fringed island within the private 63,000-hectare Jao Reserve, the camp overlooks seasonally flooded grasslands and offers one of the Okavango Delta’s most balanced safari experiences.
The camp features five spacious suites and one family suite, connected to the main areas by raised wooden walkways through the palms. Each suite offers floodplain views, generous indoor and outdoor living spaces, air-conditioning above the beds, and stylish en-suite bathrooms.
The elevated main area includes a lounge, dining room, bar, swimming pool and deck, all positioned to maximise the sweeping outlook and frequent wildlife activity in front of camp.
Guests enjoy day and night game drives in the Jao Reserve and neighbouring Hunda Island, known for plains game and predators. Seasonal water activities include mokoro excursions, boating and fishing when water levels permit.
Kwetsani is well suited to couples, families and small groups seeking a refined safari experience combining excellent wildlife viewing with a remote island setting.
**INSIDER'S TIP:** Spend time on the elevated pool deck in the late afternoon. The floodplains in front of camp often attract elephant, lechwe, buffalo and other wildlife.
