Nkwali Camp is located in the Mfuwe area, overlooking the South Luangwa National Park near the Luangwa River. The area is well known for leopard and giraffe sightings and elephants can frequently be spotted crossing the river. The area is also home to other game such as lions, hippos and buffaloes, and over 400 species of birds.

Nkwali Camp is made up of six spacious chalets in an area of ebony woodland and open grasslands overlooking the Luangwa River. Each chalet is equipped with fans and en-suite bathrooms. The camp can accommodate a maximum of 12 guests, allowing for a truly personal and secluded African experience. Access to the park is by boat or the nearby pontoon. The thatched dining room at Nkwali overlooks a lagoon where many of the resident animals drink during the day. The bar is situated on the riverbank, and is built around a massive ebony tree. The bar provides the perfect spot for watching elephant herds cross the Luangwa River.

Nkwali offers walking safaris and both day and night game drives. Boat trips are also offered between November and mid May. For those wishing to enjoy a relaxing day at the camp, you can chill at the bar and watch the Luangwa River drift by, or recline at the restaurant, positioned next to a waterhole and view the wildlife coming to drink.
