Chindeni Camp lies nestled on the apex of a permanent oxbow lagoon, offset by the magnificent Nchendeni Hills. From here is a nice walk to neighbouring Bilimungwe Camp.
Raised on wooden decking Chindeni's four en-suite tented chalets are sheltered by a shady ebony grove. Each chalet has its own private raised veranda from which you can view the resident game and enjoy the serene yet breathtaking tranquillity of the vast lagoon. With optimum accommodation for eight guests, this secluded camp provides the perfect location for the ultimate bush experience. Two of the tents have 2 queen-sized beds and the others each have a double/ king-size bed, hot and cold running water, shower, toilet, double vanities and polished floors.
This is the ideal spot for both the avid and intrepid game spotter, as well as the more sedentary visitors who wish to observe nature at its best without too much personal effort. The lush and wide lagoon, which stretches out from just beneath your own private balcony, ensures that you need make little effort as you lazily watch the abundance of game that parades before you in front of camp.
Ancient ebony trees shade the bar and dining area and an adjacent stair case provides access to a lagoon-side retreat. From here, guests can enjoy an open-air dining experience, or the spectacular sunset as it reflects from the still waters of the lagoon.

Raised on a wooden decking, Chindeni’s 4 en-suite magnificent canvas tents have private decks from which one can view the resident big game often in attendance, or simply enjoy the extensive birdlife and serenity of the camp and lagoon. The tents are the most spacious in the Luangwa, each with two queen-sized beds or one king bed, shower, toilet and double vanities. The dining area is on stilts above the oxbow lagoon with an adjoining lounge area for relaxing in the open air. Guests have been known to stay in camp during hot October days and see more from the deck than on a drive!
Chindeni's spacious tents sit high in the trees, and each has a spectacular view of the permanent oxbow lagoon and the Chindeni hills in the distance. Each has a large sitting area and veranda with hammocks.
