Thebe River lodge is located in the Chobe region, perched alongside the Chobe River in Kasane, about 5 km from the centre of town. This leafy backpackers’ lodge is a budget-friendly option in Kasane.
Well-groomed campsites are located near barbeque pits and a modern ablution block with steamy showers and flush toilets. The on-site thatched bar-restaurant serves cheap food and cold beers - perfect after a long day out on safari. There are also five permanent tents under thatched shade. Twin beds and bedding are provided.
Kasane
This property is located in the small but thriving town of Kasane, where many bigger hotels are located along the Chobe River banks. Entry to Chobe National Park for game drives is via Sedudu Gate ten to fifteen minutes drive from town. For Chobe River cruises, boats depart directly from town. Although wildlife often passes through Kasane (most usually warthogs and the odd elephant) a typical bush experience is not on offer here. Instead you’ll get all the comforts of civilization with easy access to the bush.

The Family Room contains a double bed which leads through an interleading door to a room with two single beds – perfect for families. The room is en-suite, has mosquito nets in all the beds, air-condition and a coffee / tea station.
Thebe River Safaris Camp offers spacious camping areas shaded cooking/braai areas. Ablutions are shared and we have 2 large communal ablution blocks with showers with loads of piping hot water, basins, mirrors and toilets. Most of our sites have a water tap and a power point on campsites.
